The MedicAlert Foundation is a registered charity that provides a potentially life saving identification service for those with hidden medical conditions or allergies.

MedicAlert members wear a bracelet, necklet or watch which is engraved with the most important medical conditions, a personal identification number, and the 24 hour emergency telephone number.

This telephone number allows medical personnel to obtain further details such as doctor's details, and current medication.

Lions Clubs have a long association with MedicAlert.  In cases of need, a Lions Club may be able to help an individual to join MedicAlert.  Lions Clubs also help MedicAlert to publicise their service, and, in addition, have recently provided funds to MedicAlert for an item of new equipment.
