Social activities
There are many opportunities for members of the Lions Club of Sidmouth, and their wives or partners, to take part in social activities. With a varied programme of outings, such as visits to various attractions and walks, there is always something to look forward to.
In addition, the Sidmouth Lions take part in various informal competitions, playing against the members of other Lions Clubs in the area - included here are skittles matches and quiz nights.
Examples of our recent social outings are -
- A tour of a local vineyard, followed by wine tasting.
- A tour of the grounds and lunch at Warners Hotel near Chard.
A ghost walk in Exeter.- Exeter canal trip.
- Theatre trips.
- Round trip - Boat from Totnes to Dartmouth for lunch and return by steam train and bus to Totnes.
- Pitch and putt at local course, followed by Sunday lunch.
- Trip to Watchet and back on the West Somerset Railway.
- Various rambles incorporating Sunday lunches.
